Arun Gopal is Head-International Business at Royal Enfield. He has been with the company from August 2014 and has over two decades of experience in driving growth and profits in markets across the globe. His core strengths lie in leading strategic planning, managing profit & loss responsibility of large business operations and driving process improvement projects.

At Royal Enfield, Arun is responsible in driving the company’s Business Operations across markets globally. He has a proven track record of using non-conventional ways to identify market opportunities, launch and support such programs with unique marketing activities.

Arun joins us from 3M Inc where he was the Vice President for Automotive After-Market Business for South APAC region and before that he was Vice President, Two Wheeler Center of Excellence, APAC and Latin America, again with 3M Inc. In his earlier assignments he was been with RR Donnelley as Senior Vice President, APAC Operations and has also worked with Amara Raja, MRF India Ltd and Essar Steel.

Arun also has the distinction of being a Six Sigma Black Belt and has effectively driven several Six Sigma projects during his last tenure at 3M International .He holds a Master’s degree in marketing from Bharatidasan Institute of Management,Trichy, India and is a Graduate in Electronics-Industrial & Production from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering,Mysore, India.

Spanning a period of six decades, the exhibit will feature the artists’ paintings that are “compact masterpieces depicting various aspects, moods, scenarios, social and religious values of the urban Filipino…” Also included are drawings and memorabilia that reveal Austria’s creative process and his development as an artist who began painting in the 1950’s and continues to paint to this day. Aside from the artist’s and his family’s collection, other featured artworks will be borrowed from both institutional and private collections.

Antonio Austria was born in Shanghai, China in 1936. The Filipino artist received his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Painting, from the University of Sto. Tomas in 1956, where he taught for over twenty years. Known for his distinct style, the artist says that his forms, proportions, and colors are inspired by local folk arts and craft, religious icons, and ethnic motifs. Austria was included in the first 13 Artists exhibition held at the CCP Main Gallery in 1970. The artist more recently received the Outstanding Thomasian Alumni (Total Awards) from the University of Santo Tomas and UST Alumni Association, and the City of Manila award “Parangal Patnubay ng Sining at Kalinangan sa Larangan ng Pagpipinta in 2002.
