Ocean Adventure Early Summer Experience

The next day was a sunny and beautiful morning at Camayan Beach Resort and we started to swim again at around 07:00am.

We had our breakfast at the Reef while enjoying the magnificent sea view.  The fine white sand, moderate ocean waves, and picturesque mountain made our photo shoot very artistic.

Check-out at 12:00nn was very easy, fast and smooth since we ask the housekeeping next door for inspection prior to it.  After a sumptuous meal at The Reef, we proceeded to OCEAN ADVENTURE PARK, a marine conservatory and adventure park located in Subic Bay and founded by animal behaviorists and trainers. It is owned by Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium, that is the same Philippine corporation running Camayan Beach Resort.

We were privilege to meet the Officer and Personnel of Ocean Adventure;
Mr. Robert Ianne Gonzaga
CEO and President of Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium, Inc.

Ms. Grace Rebogio
Marketing OIC

Ms.Belen Figueras
Operations Head.

This time, Mr. Jaebi Murillo, the Digital Marketing Supervisor, gave us a souvenir T-shirt of Ocean Adventure and a Garland, as special Tourist Guest. He endorsed us to Ms.Charrie, our Tour Guide inside the Ocean Adventure Park.
Tips: You have to wear comfortable clothes as you move from one marine attraction to another.  Food and drinks are not allowed inside Ocean Adventure and there's only one main cafe in Ocean Adventure that serves lunch. The food is appetizing, make sure to eat lunch early to avoid the peak lunch crowd. Remember to bring your own bottled water to quench your thirst for a full pack adventure.
02:00pm – We’re not able to catch the schedule of Foot SPA, Ocean Adventure Style.  So our tour guide brought us to the Ocean Discovery Aquarium to start with.
There's a lot of aquarium featuring different kind of fishes and colorful live corals and it was an educational tour that every corner posted the detailed information about the beauty of the underwater creations of our Almighty God.

02:45pm - The Walk on the Wild side show features exotic trained animals like Binturong (Palawan Bearcat), Eagle, Reticulated Python, and Fruit Bats.  The stunts of trained animals are very amazing as you can see the different facial reactions of the audience, especially the kids. The trainers are really good at handling the animals.
Now, students learned how to produce fire from scratch using the Bamboo Materials as demonstrated by our native brother.

At The Eco Theater, we have so much fun watching the performance of the Bad Boys. It’s a musical show that teaches people how to save the Ocean & Earth for the next generation.  They emphasized the proper disposal of the garbage and the importance of caring the environment.
04:10pm  – Dolphin Show

Dolphins are mammals known for their friendliness. Known to be great divers. Being creatures of the sea, they can dive up to 1,000 feet underwater. Dolphins never chew their food, they swallow it as a whole. Their teeth are used only to catch their prey. They are well-known for their extraordinary hearing, but did you know that... they have no sense of smell? Dolphins have olfactory tracts, but lack olfactory nerves.  In case you’re wondering, “if dolphins can’t smell, do they have a sense of taste?” Yes, but they can only taste salt.

05:00pm – Sea Lion Marine Patrol

Sea Lions are very interesting animals that can end up being extremely large. The males are much bigger than the females, which helps them to gain the ability to mate with them because the females will look for the largest males out there to be with.  They are considered to be highly intelligent animals. They have been used to teach tricks for entertainment. For the most part they are considered to be very timid, but there have been some reports of aggressive attacks on humans. The males are extremely aggressive when it comes to earning the right to mate with females.

It's amazing to see them fly through the air and glide around the stage. There's a chance you'll get wet if you are too close to the water on the stage.  To make it more fun, you can volunteer to be the audience participant in the show.  Get a chance to kiss the sea lion during the show.

The show was really nice. The sea lions are the most adorable ones...
